The Training program has no prerequisite units. However, EWPs require operators to have a thorough understanding of the risks associated with using them. This includes being able to read and understand technical information such as instructions for emergency lowering systems, wind speed ratings, variable rated capacity restrictions, operator’s manuals, risk assessments and logbook checklists.
Participants should be 18 years of age. Operating restrictions apply for those under 18 years of age.
Approximately 6 hours, this depends upon class size and prior knowledge and experience.
Fees and Charges:
The EWPA recommends a course fee of $400. Jack Australia provides below this recommended price, we provide singular at $300 or multiple modules starting at $350, there are no charges for the use of scissor lifts, knuckle boom list, or vertical lifts for use during training, but charges may apply if you require training on trailer mount or truck mounted training modules.
Class size is limited to 10 people. The most productive way to approach the training for most companies with large groups of employees is to split the classes into groups of five.
The Yellow Card is valid for five years from the date of training; an email will be sent from the EWPA (1) one month prior to the licence expiring, inviting the licence holder to renew for another five years. Currently the online EWPA renewal fee is currently $50 and involves a short theoretical refresher and assessment to be undertaken to ensure currency of knowledge.
